4 The focus is on the person This suggests that the workers are the important element of trading This strap-line, along with the picture, suggests the world (in terms of trade) should change to make everything beautiful and peaceful. She is looking out to the future. Her face is slightly tilted upwards which suggests that she is hopeful. Overall the audience is clearly adult, quite sophisticated

8 Raising awareness and promoting Fairtrade You must inform your audience about Fairtrade products and persuade them to buy these products to help the farmers. You need to write a script and/or design a poster to persuade your audience to buy Fairtrade. Your group will present your script and/or your poster to the class next week (5mins maximum/presentation).

9 Purpose: to inform and persuade Audience: Governors Format: a formal meeting Audience: Primary school children Format: An assembly Audience: Students at a high school Format: A learning community assembly

10 In groups you will be working on a particular audience and format. Remember to keep using informative and persuasive features. This is an important presentation that will take place to real people!!!
