8 Student Support Disability Support  Extra help is available for students with a disability, mental health condition or specific learning difficulty: –Specialist equipment allowance –Non-medical helper allowance –General allowance –Travel allowance Apply for a DSA as soon as possible Does not depend on your household income Does depend on the outcome of a needs assessment Tell us about your disability – in confidence Student Services

9 Student Support Medical Service Doctor’s surgery in Student Support Centre at Newton Park on Monday and Friday mornings and Wednesday afternoons Book appointments with a GP or Nurse: Register with the doctor on the Portal or at Student Support You can see a GP or nurse at Fairfield Park Health Centre outside of the above times: Take a moment to inform yourself about mumps, measles and meningitis – information around campus and on our web pages Download the free BSU Health app from the itunes App store.
