6 Achievements of the Alliance  Getting the SADC Protocol and Development adopted in record time.  Unique sub-regional instrument that enhances MDG 3 through 28 targets to be achieved by 2015.  Civil society strengthening: Roadmap to Equality- best practise, engaging with regional structures.  M and E: continues to be a watchdog.

South African Women in Dialogues (SAWID) 10th Birthday celebration 2014 National elections. 60 years since the Women’s Charter Vision 2014-National Plan of Action and Government’s Corporate Governance System South Africa celebrates 20 years of democracy. 2015 Target date for the SADC Gender Protocol South Africa celebrates 21 years of democracy. Half-way milestone on the African Women’s Decade. Deadline for Millennium Development Goal 3. 15 years left to attainment of the National Development Plan Vision 2030.
