4 Value of Planning Why bother caring about any of this? Because planning and evaluation are Board- authorized activities and official district practices –BP 3250, Institutional Planning (AP 3250 in draft) –BP 4020, Program, Curriculum, Course Development & Program Discontinuance –AP 1202, Implementing Institutional Effectiveness –AP 4000, Sustaining Standards of Educational Excellence –AP 4020, Process for Program Discontinuance Because without planning, how resources are allocated becomes a black hole for anyone on campus who is not directly involved VVC-OIE/IR © 2011
