4 4 Jeremiah 17 Outline Sin of idolatry (17:1-4) Jeremiah 17:1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

11 11 We are like clay in the potter’s hand Jeremiah 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? Saith the Lord, behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

Tophet was the place in that valley where the continual fires were kept up, in and through which they consecrated their children to Moloch. “Topheth” (fireplace, Isa.30:33) was a high place in the Valley of Hinnom just south of Jerusalem where child sacrifices were offered to Molech 2 Kings 23:10 “Topheth” in Jeremiah 7:31-32 and 19:6-14
