1 Galilee News Jesus of Nazareth Performs Miracles A Man With Palsy A local resident of Capernaum lay sick with palsy heard of a man named Jesus who could heal the sick. The man’s friends found where Jesus was staying and brought the sick friend to him. Because of the crowds around the house, they took him up to the roof and lowered the sick man through the rood and into the room where Jesus was. Jesus said, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee…Arise and take thy bed, and go thy way to thy house.” Immediately he took his bed and went home. Mark 2:1-12 “The Lord does not always heal the sick, nor save those in hazardous zones. He does not always relieve suffering and distress, for even these seemingly undesirable conditions may be part of a purposeful plan” President Spencer W. Kimball ( Tragedy or Destiny, p. 5). The rulers thought she was dead, but Jesus went to Jairus’ home. Jesus said, “Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.” She arose. Mark 5:21-24, For twelve years a woman had a issue with blood. She heard that Jesus was coming through the town and sought him also. “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” She claimed. As she did her blood was dried up and she felt she was cured of the plague.
