Tentative Not final Adjective When the poor, unknowing little girl noticed the gorilla statue, her steps became tentative to such an extent that she would stop for minutes at a time to simply stare in fear.
Provocative Exciting; attracting attention Adjective The unusual sculpture was provocative to such an extent that it had to be relocated to a less noticable location.
Depravity Moral corruption Noun MTV tends to assume that we are a wicked and depraved generation; prove them wrong. Depiction of Soddom and Gomorrah being destroyed by God. (Genesis)
Adversary An opponent; enemy Noun The man had acquired many a powerful adversary over the years due to his willingness to make sacrifices in order to achieve goals during the time in which he was a buisnessman.
