Mission Female Engagement Teams (FETs) directly engage the local population in support of the local commander’s intent. FETs conduct engagement operations Influence entire population Disseminate commander’s messages
Key Lessons Learned FETs engage with men, women and children Employment driven by the commander Effective at all stages of counterinsurgency Full-time FET FETs can soften the public’s perception of offensive operations Mere introduction of FET into a battle space changed dynamics between CF and local populace
Accomplishments 16 FETs Conducted 3,136 Engagements, During 576 Patrols Collected and Reported Critical Atmospherics and Information Supported Clearing Operations Consequence Management Identified and Facilitated Development Projects
