3 We must know it AIDS means Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome HIV is a Human Immune Virus. Now in the Ivanovo area there are 4785 HIV-infected registered people Among them 80,6 % of people are from 15 till 30 years old 57 % have caught HIV as a result of the intravenous use of drugs 43 % -is the number of the people infected in a sexual way 117 children who have not reached the age of 1,5 years Percent of HIV infectioned

4 What are the WAYS to TRANSFER HIV INFECTIONS: 1. Through blood 2. At sexual contact with a HIV- infected person 3. From a HIV-positive mother to a child, at the time of feeding a baby

5 It is impossible to be infected with AIDS: Through sweat (пот) or saliva (слюна), tears or cough Through hand shakes, embraces (объятия), kisses Through stings of insects Through the general ware and food Through water (using the general pool, a bathroom or a shower)

6 Nobody can remain indifferent towards this problem … The celebrities who have worked against AIDS are : Bono (U2) together with Bobbi Shiverom became the initiator of the international project (PRODUCT) RED which is purposed to collect money for Global fund for fighting against AIDS. Elton John has founded his own fund against AIDS ( Elton John's anti-AIDS foundation). Enni Lennoks has been awarded with Nobel Winners prize «the Woman of the world». not so long ago The celebrities who died from AIDS are Freddi Merkjuri (1946–1991), the British musician and the vocalist of group "Queen". Fate Hudson (1925–1985), the American actor, the first celebrity which has publicly opened the HIV-status. Klaus Nomi (1944–1983), the German countertenor popular in America. The first celebrity which has died of AIDS Eric «Eazy E» Right (1963–1995), the American rapper, a member of group of gangsta-rap N.W.A.. Arthur Ash 1943–1993), the American tennis player and the public figure; has won three Grand Slam tournaments. Frank Moore (1953–2002), the American artist, the founder of a red ribbon – a symbol of struggle against AIDS. Isaac Asimov (1920–1992), the Russian-American writer and the biochemist. Has caught a HIV as a result of blood transfusion during a heart operation in 1983. Erve Zhiber (1955–1990), the French writer and the film director. Dzhija Karandzhi (1960–1986), the American supermodel.

7 … We should not be indifferent to this problem. Think it over… After all, the HIV-infected people don't differ from us. They want to smile as well as we do, they want to live as well as we do, … and still they value each lovely afternoon And they are afraid very much to fall asleep once and never wake up…

8 We should watch the acts carefully and estimate the actions soberly, not to endanger ourselves and our relatives.

10 … And we always should remember that there are people among us, suffering from this disease. They trust to us, they need our help and our support. We shouldn't avoid and despise them! THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO! THEY ALSO HAVE THE RIGHT FOR A SHORT, BUT HAPPY AND BRIGHT LIFE!
