2012 update This short presentation provides the key data for treatment options according to ANZDATA Dec 2012 Trend data has also been included Slides also include some commentary about key changes or just interesting facts.
Prevalent Numbers Dec 2012 Increase 6.5%, transplant 10%, Sat/hosp 3%, PD & HHD 8% each
Incident PD patients have increased (mainly 55-75 yr) whilst HD has decreased. Only 1 in 4 start on PD.
Incident HD (includes home) patients are trending younger with 57% under 65 years. PD and HD patients are similar ages.

Conclusion Changes to prevalence and incidence of treatment options are slow but there are changes occuring. This is more evident in some states than others.
