3Features and Benefits Hovering: Eastman mowers weigh less than the competition. They also come equipped with larger impellers which generate more CFA (cubic feet of air) per minute. As a result, our mowers feel lighter and require appreciably less effort to operate. They also do not easily bottom out and scalp the grass on undulating terrain.Cutting:Eastman mowers have a 1” – 3” adjustable cut height, the only mowers in their class offering such a feature. The mowers come equipped with an aluminum cutter disc and metal edged nylon or a reversible stainless steel cutting blade. The steel cutting blade offer a sharper cut, are more durable and last significantly longer.
4Features and Benefits The Deck: The deck is designed deeper than the conventional hover mowers to allow for a higher cut. The design also eliminates “torquing” which results from the air circulating under the deck. In a conventional design, the mower has a tendency to move to the left. Our tripod deck design eliminates torquing giving the mower a more neutral stance. The polyethylene polymer with UV inhibitor material has a superior stress crack resistance combined with high impact strength and rigidity. This makes our decks more durable and gives them significantly longer life as compared to the competition.Handlebar Connection:In the absence of wheels on a hover mower, the handlebars are used for carrying and moving the mowers. This puts a higher degree of stress on the area connecting the handles to the deck which becomes prone to cracking and stress fractures. To eliminate this problem in our mowers, the handle is connected to the deck using metal connecting plates. Our competition attaches the handles directly to the deck with the attendant cracking and fracturing problems.
