3Introduction Somerset Academy Lone Mountain campus is a K-7 public charter school opening in August We are located in Northwest Las Vegas at 4491 N. Rainbow.
4What is a Charter School? Charter schools are unique public schools that are allowed the freedom to be more innovative while being held accountable for advancing student achievement. 5How Do Charter Schools Work? Charter schools foster a partnership between parents, teachers, and students. 6Specific Examples in Working to Raise Student Achievement: Adjusting curriculum to meet student needs. Charter school teachers have a say in the curriculum they teach and can adjust materials to meet individual students’ needs.Creating a unique school culture. 16School hours, how early/late for drop off/pick up? 6-7: 7:45-2:30Earliest drop-off is 15 minutes before start time. Latest pick-up is 15 minutes after dismissal.

18Do you anticipate offering more than 1 full day Kindergarten program in the future? Yes. We will have 2 full-day kindergarten classes and 2 half-day kindergarten classes.
