How to get started ¯ÖÏÖÖ»ÖßŸÖ ¯ÖÏ¾Öê¿Ö úÃÖÖ ú¸üÖµÖ“ÖÖ
Getting Started Get to BDS Home Page Step 1: Open /Log on ov.in ov.in Go to Important Websites For Actual/Live transactions, Click on Budget Distribution System (live mode) For training. Click on Budget Distribution System (Training Mode)
Get to BEAMS Home Page Training Mode Live mode You can also go directly to BEAMS
Logging On Step 1: Enter your user ID The user ID is same as your 10 digit DDO Code. The DDO codes are a combination of treasury codes (4 digit) and your office code (6 digit). For Example Assistant user ID is to be entered only if Such User is Created by the Approver. Otherwise Ignore it. Step 2: Enter your password For the first time use, the password has been set to be the same as your User ID. Step 3: Click on “Submit” Step 3A: If you have made a mistake, click on “Reset”
Create password The software shall force you to create your password, the first time you log on. Remember you have to set two passwords. One for the Assistant, who shall normally be the budget dealing hand, and who shall do the data entry. The other shall be for the approving officer (DDO). Step 1: Enter new password. Minimum 6 digits and maximum 10 digits. Step 2: Re enter the same password again. Step 3 & 4: Repeat for Approval password.
Enter password carefully IIn case the Confirm Password does not match with the Password entered initially, the system shall reject the password.
WELL DONE If you have not made a mistake, the password shall be reset and you can start using the system. REMEMBER: DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE. DO NOT WRITE THE PASSWORD ANYWHERE.
CHANGE PASSWORD It is advisable to change your password once in 15 days. Step 1: Go to Maintenance and select “Change Password”
CHANGE PASSWORD CONTI.. Step 2: the screen as shown here will open. Please change your password as was done initially. Enter Old password and then Enter New password & enter again the New password in “Confirm Password’ Box Remember: you can now only change the password for the user with which you have logged on.
Forgotten your password In case you have forgotten the password, you can contact your department contact. The department contact, in case satisfied with your identity can reset the password to the default password, ie DDO Code. You shall have then have to start all over again to set your own password before start using the system. If Assistant Users are Created by the Approver then the Assistant user’s password can be reset by Approver itself.
