5  Beyond MHS graduation requirements, Oregon universities require: ◦ Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra ◦ World Language – 2 yrs of the same language ◦ Additional Science is highly recommended ◦ 16 academic credits in core subject areas ◦ “C” or better average for core classes

6  Honors options are available freshman year – your teachers will explain how this works in the fall!  Advanced Placement courses are for everyone at Madison! You may begin your first AP class your Sophomore year.  Honor Roll requires 6 graded classes (Any class taken for Pass/No Pass credit will not count. Example: Teacher Aide)  Athletics requires passing 6 classes & maintain a 2.0 GPA

12  Discuss with your parent, guardian, teachers, counselor, mentor before choosing classes.  Once forecasting is completed, changes are highly unlikely.

13  Talk with parents, teachers and counselor before choosing your classes.  Once forecasting is completed, it is expected that you will commit to your selected courses for the entire school year … decide carefully.  Schedule changes will not occur next Fall. ** ** exceptions will be made for extenuating circumstances
