Lk. 11: “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.

34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.

35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you.” Luke 11:33-36

The formula: (as given by Alvin Plantinga) Where P is probability; N is naturalism, E is current evolutionary theory and R is the proposition that our cognitive faculties are reliable, P(R/N&E) is low Alvin Plantinga’s formula

(1) P(R/N&E) is low. (2) One who accepts N&E and also sees that (1) is true has a defeater for R. (3) This defeater can’t be defeated. (4) One who has a defeater for R has a defeater for any belief she takes to be produced by her cognitive faculties, including N&E. (5) N&E is self-defeating and can’t be rationally accepted.

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, Rom. 1:18-23

19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—

his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God,

they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise,

they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Romans 1:18-23
