According to first century legend: Angels married with women (Gen. 6) This final sin brought the flood – God’s judgment Some time later the sin was repeated when the women of Sodom had sex with angelic flesh (Gen. 19) Some Jewish writers believed this was the sin which sealed Sodom’s fate. This is the “legend” Jude used as an illustration.
