3 George Segal Worked in the medium of plaster installations in the 1960’s Most of his figures are cast and set in an actual environment such as a lunch counter or street crossing. Many of his figures had a social comment on a contemporary issue. 6 Plaster Sculpture Procedure Specific Casting procedures will be passed out in written form. Students will complete a series of drawing and sketches in order to develop a design element for each project. Each project will be free standing Each sculpture will be structurally sound Written critiques will follow completion of sculpture Grading will adhere to a rubric evaluation
