to LEEDA® uses the finest DuPont™ Tynex® Orel® filament. These two filament types combined offer a superior painting experience along with a durable long lasting brush. Orel® filament offers less weight and more capacity with its unique trilocular structure and weighs 35% less than natural bristle. Tynex® and its quadrilobal tapered filaments are flagged at the tips to provide a smooth painting edge. The combination of the two filaments offer consistent performance as they are unaffected by water and remain stable over a wide temperature range. The tapered profile guides paint to the brush tip, optimises bending pressure to reduce brush marks, and allows fine cutting and lining.

Fitted with a premium quality brushed stainless steel ferrule specifically designed by Haydn. It is clear that durability and the longevity of the brush was at the forefront of Haydn's design. The stainless steel ferrule and tacks are resistant to rust. This avoids rust from the ferrule or tacks leaching in to the paint and causing discoloured streaks. Haydn’s ferrule boasts strengthened seams to maintain the structural integrity of the brush head, ribbed ridges to ensure superior epoxy adhesion which is essential for reducing filament loss. The ferrule is stamped with the Haydn logo and the size for ease of reference so you can always select the best brush for the job.
Featuring a hardwood Beech ergonomically designed handle for ultimate control, comfort and fatigue minimisation. Beautifully smooth finish free of all rough edges. A lavish lacquer finish to protect the wood and provide a carefully crafted handle. Each brush has a hang hole for easy drying and convenient storage.

LEEDA® NEWS RELEASE Haydn Brush Company Ltd For Immediate Release Christchurch, NZ. 2 January 2015 EXCITEMENT BRISTLING OVER NEW “LEEDA” Haydn goes back to the future with today’s release of a new paint brush. In a bold move Haydn has invested heavily into a new flagship brush release. Seeking to dominate the already saturated paint brush sector, Haydn’s bullish new prodigy is aptly named “Leeda”. Back to basics. Expert brush maker and owner, Trevor Haydon adopted a “back to basics” strategy with his new design. Trevor states “the fundamental elements of a great paint brush have never changed, what has however is the quality and chemistry of the componentry, over machination of production and the loss of individualised handcrafting”. In an increasingly disposable world, where the race is on to the bottom, Haydon is bucking the trend and combining the “best of the best” to produce the ultimate paint brush. Literally at the cutting edge of this new line-up is arguably the world’s finest filament. Incorporating a refined blend of solid round tapered DuPont “Tynex” nylon and “Orel” polyester filaments, precisely tipped and flagged, the result is a brush which is not only durable and easy to clean, but also provides smooth even paint release, exceptional coverage and fine cutting capability. Generously encased in a stainless steel ferrule attached to an ergonomic lacquered beech hardwood handle the product is complete. In Trevor’s words “good painters will always use the best trade tools available” and he is banking on it!
