NCDVD 2011 Summary Welcomed 40 new vocation directors
Increased number of additional US Dioceses and religious organizations to our membership Expanded Episcopal Advisory Board Members Formed an ad hoc committee on Hispanic vocations Stabilized financial portfolio Hosted 30+ participants to Biennial Institute, including directors from Canada and England Attended various conferences of other national organizations Launched a Seminarian Video Contest 2011 Annual Convention in Detroit 9 bishops, 250+ participants

Seminary Merger Starting September 2012, the Archdiocese of New York, the Diocese of Brooklyn, and the Diocese of Rockville Centre will begin their joint operating agreement. Candidates for the priesthood at the graduate level will participate in a single program of priestly formation at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, NY The Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, NY will renew and extend academic programs offered to lay women and men and some candidates for the permanent diaconate, as well as the ongoing formation for clergy. The undergraduate and pre-theology students from the three dioceses will continue at the Cathedral Residence of the Immaculate Conception in Douglaston, NY.

Membership Regular membership is open to all Catholic dioceses and eparchies in the United States Affiliate membership is open to priestly vocations personnel who are members of religious communities; seminary rectors and other seminary personnel involved in the formation of seminarians; Catholic colleges and institutes with programs of priestly discernment or formation. Associate membership is available to Catholic dioceses outside of the United States.
