3 Registration preparation  Progression of continuing students (now complete) 1 st August – 8 th August 2014  Transfer of new applicants during August (RPR for unconditional, RCD* for conditional *NEW*)  New students can activate their IT access using Student ID Number and Date of Birth *NEW*  Students can select online modules (where available) from Tuesday 26 th August 2014  Online registration for PG & PGCE students available from Tuesday 26 th August 2014  Online registration for UG students available from Monday 1 st September 2014  Online registration will close on Friday 3 rd October 2014

4 New Developments  New enrolment statuses o RCD_D for students requiring DBS clearance o RCD_R for continuing students who have both visa/document checking due and ref/def assessments  New optional data being collected in Online Registration o Religion o Spoken language o Placement & Career aspirations (New entrants only)

5 Communicating with students All new students: Sent welcome from Admissions All PG & PGCE students who are RPR: Receive when online registration opens (26 August 2014) All UG students who are RPR: Receive when online registration opens (1 September 2014) All students who are RPR: Reminders on 12 th, 19 th, 26 th September & 3 rd October Registration closes at midnight on 3 rd October Only students with RPR status will receive reminders

7 2014/5 Online Registration  Who can register?  New Unconditional Home/EU: Full Time UG/PG/PGCE/ & Distance Learners/ Part Time PG/ Returning students All RPR status can register off campus prior to arrival  New Conditional: International Full Time, Erasmus, JYA, any with DBS outstanding All RCD* status need to be cleared to register by presenting original documents to Admissions on campus  SITS Statuses  RPR (provisionally enrolled) - able to register  RCD* (conditional), RHL* (results held or interrupted), RDB (debtor) - unable to register A late fee of £50 may be payable if students do not register within the allocated dates.

8 Freshers’ Week - Exeter Saturday 13 th September – Friday 19 th September  Student Information Desk / IT Helpdesk  Admissions  Student Finance  International Student Support  UniCard printing (NB most new students will receive their card with room keys) All services above are available in the Forum during Freshers’ Week SID will circulate a summary including opening times

9 Freshers’ Week- Cornwall Arrivals days: Academic Services Unit (ASU) presence in the Lower Stannary –Thursday 11 th September : 10am – 5pm –Friday 12 th September : 10am – 6pm –Saturday 13 th September : 8am – 8pm –Sunday 14 th September : 10am – 4pm Monday 15th September onwards ASU and College Administration Teams are based in Peter Lanyon Building Reception : 9am – 5pm

14 Post-Registration Processes  On Monday 6th October RPR status amended to “Not Registered” (RNR)  IT access withdrawn within an hour  Spreadsheets of non-registered students supplied to Colleges - any ‘No shows’ (RCD*, RNR) investigated by Colleges, Admissions and Student Records  Any individual cases to be discussed direct with Student Records please not the Student Information Desk if by )

15 Late Arrivals for International Tier 4 students  Tier 4 conditional students remain as RCD* after registration closes.  If the student is due to arrive after the programme start date please record the late arrival date and reason in SPR UDF “PBS Late Arrival date”  Automatic notification is sent to PBS Compliance and Accommodation  To comply with UKVI legislation we are required to report non-enrolments within a strict deadline No student is reported for non-registration to the Home Office without prior consultation with the College

17 Student Records Team 1 st September 2014 –“Admissions & Student Records” Admissions Student Records incl PG Admin –Registry in Cornwall remains –Exams move to Learning Spaces –Graduation moves to SID –“Registry Services” team name no longer in use address to be replaced, messages will still be received
