How do we change mixed numbers to an improper fractions Let’s say I have 2 ½ pizzas. How many pizzas do I have as an improper fraction?
Step 1: Multiply your denominator by your whole number ( 2 x 2 = 4) Step 2: Take the number you got from multiplying your denominator and whole and add that to your numerator ( 4 +1 = 5) Step 3: Use the number you received from adding and put it over your denominator ( 5/2)
