1 PRESS F1 FOR GUIDEANCE PATHOLOGY 1st Practical (Slides) MFSH 2003

2 Inflammation & Repair Fibrinous pericarditis 5
Acute suppurative appendicitis 15 Foreign body reaction (pilonidal sinus) 22 Granulation tissue

3 General Key Information
Specific Point Wide Area Zooming “higher magnification” 1,2,3,..etc Numbers are used in identifying the needed histological layers. Note: Some cases have photos taken from more than one slide. They may differ a little bit. Not all the features “written in the practical sheet” are shown in the slides, but only the ones important and the ones that I could see. (the best I can do)

4 Some cells you need to know
Inflammatory cells: 1)Lymphocyte 2)Neutrophil 3)Monocyte (macrophage) 4)Eosinophil Fibrobast regenerates collagen. When macrophages unite together the form multinucleated “Giant cells”.
