Remember Include a small supply of any important prescription or non-prescription drugs used by family members Antacids Laxatives Blood Pressure Pills Insulin Rx for Allergies
2. MAKE A FAMILY PLAN 1.Plan for Family Members to have Escape Routes from the House 2.Decide where to Reunite 3.Identify out-of-area “Contact” Person 4.Prepare Copies of Important Documents for Storage Off-Site or on Portable Disk

Organize to “Shelter in Place” Plan to be self-sufficient in your home with limited or no utilities (gas, electricity, water) for a minimum of 3 days and possibly much longer

Organize your Food and Water Accessible Supplies: 1)Use familiar dried, packaged and canned foods from your everyday stock 2)Energy bars and high protein snacks 3)Store 1 gallon water per person per day 4)Water purification tablets or bleach
Prepare a “Go Bag” Trail mix, energy bars Portable Radio Small First Aid Kit Whistle / Flash Light Personal Hygiene Supplies Cash in small bills of at least $50 per person Layers of warm clothing and hat Sturdy Shoes Dust Mask Copy of Important Documents List of emergency numbers
