Geography The Great Plains are in Oklahoma and in Texas. The Rocky mountains are in New Mexico and in Arizona. The six rivers are Gila, Red, Brazos, Colorado, Pesos, and the Rio Grande on the border of Texas and Mexico.
Climate The climate is dry and hot. Needs to save water. Does not get much rain. Yearly rain fall is about 80 inches and most of it comes from Oklahoma. Lots of tornados caused by dry weather and flat surfaces.
Industry Barrel racing it is a type of horse back riding. Ranching is popular because it is very necessary and there's a lot of grassy plains to do it. Mining is popular because they have a lot of petroleum.
Culture Hot Air balloon festival in Albuquerque International Balloon Festival. Italian and Mexican influences found in the food, music, and dance.
Attractions The grand canyon is I mile deep and 217 miles long. Carlsbad caverns is home to the remains of plants and animals from more than a million years ago. The Dallas cowboys play at the stadium and over 40,000 people come for games.
