5 Oil company data obligations To deliver to the Secretary of State any data at any time from now until eternity in any format specified by DTI This applies to any company that has ever been involved in a licence.

6 Information Strategy  Only receive and store Information used on a regular basis in necessary business functions.  Information needed occasionally should be stored / retained elsewhere by third parties eg CDA, DEAL.  Define appropriate standards for storage and exchange of Information (XML) eg PPRS.  Audit companies to ensure that they are satisfying their data retention obligations.
