Where can it be used?
The gelling agent is POLYACRYLATE and is non-toxic.
It works by encapsulation. It bonds WITH fluids
There is no chemical reaction
Fluid enters polyacrylate molecules through a semi-permeable membrane.
Enough gel for 10 litres costs £3.48
It can be used in any clinical situation where fluid needs handling
ie suctioned waste in theatre.
