Dr. John F. Farella, M.D., FACS Restylane It is a soft tissue filler that helps correct folds in the lower face and also corrects moderate to severe wrinkles in the facial area. It is made of a non-animal-based hyaluronic acid called NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid).

Non-animal origins which eliminates the risk of allergic reaction is what makes restylane different from other products. Restylane is injected into the skin using a vey fine needle and this procedure takes 10 to 30 minutes per session.
