Dressed for Success 12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 26 Humility So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience… (Colossians 3:12)So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience… (Colossians 3:12)

Humility 3 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. 4 Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus, 6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. 28 Humility 7 Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, 8 He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross. (Philippians 2:7-8, HCSB) 7 Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. 29 Humility He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Humility

Humility Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; (Romans 12:10)Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; (Romans 12:10) Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. (Romans 12:16, HCSB)Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. (Romans 12:16, HCSB)

Humility Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. (Proverbs 26:12)Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. (Proverbs 26:12) “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 14:11)“For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 14:11)

Humility When pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2)When pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom. 34 Humility 26 Brothers, consider your calling: not many are wise from a human perspective, not many powerful, not many of noble birth. 27 Instead, God has chosen the world’s foolish things to shame the wise, and God has chosen the world’s weak things to shame the strong. 28 God has chosen the world’s insignificant and despised things—the things viewed as nothing—so He might bring to nothing the things that are viewed as something, (1 Corinthians 1:26-28, HCSB) 26 Brothers, consider your calling: not many are wise from a human perspective, not many powerful, not many of noble birth. 27 Instead, God has chosen the world’s foolish things to shame the wise, and God has chosen the world’s weak things to shame the strong. 28 God has chosen the world’s insignificant and despised things—the things viewed as nothing—so He might bring to nothing the things that are viewed as something, (1 Corinthians 1:26-28, HCSB)

Humility 29 so that no one can boast in His presence. 30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31 so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD. [Jer. 9:24]” (1 Corinthians 1:29-31, HCSB) 29 so that no one can boast in His presence. 30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31 so that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.
