Measurement – Right Angled Triangles By the end of this lesson you will be able to identify and calculate the following: 1. The Tangent Ratio

 The tangent trigonometric ratio for any right- angled triangle is defined:  This is abbreviated to:

 The value of this ratio for any angle can be calculated by measuring two specific side lengths of the right-angled triangle containing that angle and dividing them.
