Warm up The letter of Zohra shows the type of life in traditional society which is very different from life modern society. Write your preference and justify your choices about household shores/education; marriage in both societies. Be specific!
Reading Aicha’s letter ( Respond To Zohra) Each student reads a part of the letter. We will establish the difference between both societies ( physical and ways of life) Find out the important information that Aicha gives to Zohra to Aicha. Any comment by students on the challenge facing Zohra.
Vocabulary (traditional activities) On fait de l’artisanat(m), de la poterie, des tapis, des objects (m) en cuivre et des bijoux (m). On fait de la cueillette ( harvest) des dattes (f), Des figues (f), et des olives (f). On cultive le blé. On élève( raise) des chameux (m) et des chèvres (f). On donne à aux poules (f). On trait les vaches (f).

Grammaire Si clauses To say If something were so, something else would happen, begin on part, or clause, of your sentence with si (if) and put the verb in imperfect: in the other clause put the verb in the conditional. Si elle habitait dans une grande ville, elle serait plus stressée. ( If she lived in the big city, she would be more stressed) * You don’t alwaysl have to begin the sentence with si clause. Ça serait chouette si j’habiterais à la campagne.
