What is the relationship between a figure and its image under a translation? As you work on each example, think about the instructions you could give so that someone else could re-create the translation exactly.

However, for you to do the translation that I wanted, I would have to tell you more information. I’d have to tell you the direction and distance I wanted you to use for the translation.
