3 IECD MHDAS Initiative in NSW  10 Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Services (MHDAS) in partnership with and co located in selected Aboriginal Maternal & Infant Health Services (AMIHS) state-wide.  MHDAS aims are; o Increased access for Aboriginal pregnant women, their partners, families and community members to integrated perinatal care at this critical time o To strengthen the structures, processes and procedures that support this access and care

4 Who Provides MHDAS?  10 MHDAS Programs have been funded in 9 Local Health Districts (LHDs) o 10 FTE mental health clinicians o 10 FTE drug & alcohol clinicians  7 of the 9 participating LHDs are funded to support an Aboriginal mental health or drug & alcohol traineeship o 2 FTE Aboriginal mental health trainees o 6 FTE Aboriginal drug & alcohol trainees
