11 Network connection errors (1): Check media converter lights: (Unplug and plug to see change of status): Page 6 - 11

12 Network connection errors (2): Start -> Run -> Enter : CMD -> OK; Type in: ipconfig /all and hit ENTER key: Check PC - IP Address: Page 6 - 12

13 Network connection errors (3): Start -> Run -> Type in: CMD -> OK; Type in: ping IP-Address and hit ENTER key: Test Connection: Page 6 - 13

14 Software errors: Most software errors are caused by security/user rights or connection problems to different devices on the network. These errors are like “ Cannot contact database”, “cannot establish connection to…”, “a file cannot be accessed, read, written..” Course of action: Make sure that the user has the right to access data, (read write, change). Log in as Administrator and see if it makes a difference. Make sure you can access folders manually. Like start-> run -> \\computername\foldername\filename. Restart RCU services or server(s) if access problem persists. Refer to user\service manual for cause of error. Page 6 - 14
