You think just ‘cause you want to help somebody, somebody’s gonna be helped’” (Crutcher 184). What inference can you make about Dale based on this statement? 2. When talking about Sarah’s mother, Dale says, “‘Scarfaced’d been better off like me, no mom at all. I’d rather have nobody than somebody who’d do me like that’” (Crutcher 186).
