As you can see, there were a number of usability enhancements. I speak to a couple here and then to the rest in the subsequent slides: Note that for this presentation, the * Indicates that a detail slide follows Control End is similar to the feature in Excel where this key combination will take you to the last row in the grid, fetchiing all additional rows if not already populated. Easy export reduces the number of user actions required to export the grid data to an excel spreadsheet. Its now literally just a couple of clicks to export Saved search is an end user productivity improvement which allows users to save the criteria used for searches so they can be easily re-executed at a later time. The calendar control was built for the 8.11 CRM applications and provide a calendar UI widget We also made a couple of minor improvements to the grid Additionally, for this release we began support the Safari and Mozilla browsers. Our philosophy remains to support the best of breed browser on the client operating system platform. Today this translater to supporting IE on Windows, Safari on Mac, and Mozilla on Linux. We’re keeping an eye on Firefox which continues to become more and more popular. The JSR 168 support allows any EnterpriseOne application which is written using the FDA (Form Design Aid) tool to be easily published as a portlet. The Lean Manufacturing control is a new, SVG based, user interface widget which supports our Lean Manufacturing (aka Demand Flow Manufacturing) initiative. 8.95 was released in September 2005, with a continuing focus on web usability, performance, the total ownership experience, and the addition of the Fusion middleware as a platform option for customers. Again, we’ll drill down on a few of these highlights of the release in subsequent slides. In planning the 8.95 release, we visit a set of customers who were in the process or recently implemented the web client. From this study, we learn what went well and where the product could be improved. There were a couple of very key findings. First, the web client was not strong for high volume data entry tasks. These are users that entry order, or otherwise interact with EnterpriseOne applications for a considerable amount of their day. The quicker they can enter these transactions, the better. Secondly, there were some specific situations where lengthy server side processing could impact the response time for users. These two issues became a couple of the focal points for the 8.95 release. To better support a data entry user and to smooth out the response time curve to provide a more predictable response time. 8.92 Task/solution explorer Time zone support Math rounding rules Roles and security Graphical workflow w/ processor modeler Web grid formats

Electronic Document Delivery SOA: Additional Services & Notification Infrastructure JDBC Driver - BI Publisher Gateway A9.1 Import / Export SOA: Service-enablement Web-Enabled Interface A8.1 Generic Function Keys Data Dictionary Enhancements A7.3 Database Audit Manager WorldWriter Enhancements UDC inquiry by description DREAMWriter support for custom file formats A8.1 Generic Function Key exits are available in A81. The benefit is that many customers modify the code to enable other exits that might not already be defined in the base product. This will let them get rid of the hard coded FKey modifications and use the soft-coded capability. Enables user to exit to another program by pressing F24, and selecting the option Set-up thru 17/G90 For any video, set up as many exits as you want Pass parameters to the called program, too A7.3 Many customers have WorldWriters on which the data selection has to be changed each time the report is run. This used to require that the user be allowed to maintain WorldWriters, including having access to all of the versions. Opening WorldWriter to too many users created a risk that someone would damage the report. Two enhancements eliminate this requirement: WorldWriters can be set to prompt for data selection at run time. Date fields can be compared to *TODAY +/- a value, so that the report can be run without changing data selection. WorldWriter versions can also be opened from a menu, so that it is not necessary to open a WorldWriter versions list to edit a version.
