F2 MATCHING TIMETABLE AND PROCESS 2012/13 Round 1 Who can apply: Current F1 doctors allocated to the Wales Foundation School via the UK Foundation Programme Recruitment Scheme for 2011/12 If you were allocated your post via Local Health Board (LHB) appointment, you are not eligible to join the F2 Matching Scheme. Should there be any vacancies available once matching is complete, we anticipate these posts will be advertised by LHBs in March 2012. If you require further information, please contact your local Foundation Programme Director. Monday, 28 th November 2011 on-line Matching Scheme Round 1 opens – Foundation Doctors complete an application form and select 8 F2 rotations. Monday, 12 th December 2011 applications close. Consultants rank applications between Friday, 13 th January 2012 and Friday 27 th January 2012. Round 2 Applicants who were not allocated a post in Round 1 will need to apply in Round 2. Tuesday, 31 st January 2012 Round 2 opens. Applicants select a further 8 rotations. Friday, 3 rd February 2012 Round 2 applications close. Consultants rank applications between Friday 3 rd February 2012 and Friday 10 th February 2012. Any applicants who were not allocated a post by this date will automatically go into Round 3 where further matching will take place. Round 3 will take place between Tuesday 14 th February and Friday 24 th February 2012. Results for all rounds of matching will be announced on Monday 27 th February 2012. Please inform Sioned Edwards if your contact details have changed since the F1 recruitment process: IMPORTANT Special Circumstances:- If you have special circumstances (i.e. health issues, carer responsibilities or a terminally ill relative or are a member of the armed forces) which should be taken into account when allocating you an F2 post, please complete a special circumstance application which can be downloaded from: http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/pgmde/sections/foundationtraining/policiesandprocedures/index.html http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/pgmde/sections/foundationtraining/policiesandprocedures/index.html Deadline - Monday 7 th November 2011. Time out of Foundation Programme (TOFP) August 2012 - July 2013. A limit of 17 Foundation Doctors will be permitted to take TOFP for their F2 year. Applicants will be chosen at random. Applications will only be accepted between Monday 7th November and Friday 18th November 2011 Please note that incomplete applications will not be accepted, and all required signatures must be obtained prior to submission. Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 25 th November 2011.
