The Islamic Model Of Anger Management
FROM T2 TO T3 You are starting to have negative responses to people, places and things around you.
FROM T2 TO T3 Now you are starting to think about yelling.
FROM T2 TO T3 You are mad at yourself, others or the world in general.
FROM T2 TO T3 You start thinking about getting away from some situation that is bothering you..
FROM T2 TO T3 Your vision is narrowing further "If I could, I'd like to really let them have it!“ "That person is driving me up the wall." "I can't stand this any more." Thisis driving me crazy." This is driving me crazy."
FROM T2 TO T3 you are ready to do something about it !
FROM T2 TO T3 Now you're acting on your anger
FROM T2 TO T3 You have a tunnel vision
(Qur’an, 3:134) ……and those who restrain [their] anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good [to others] وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
The medicines of anger after one gets angry A mixture of knowledge and action
The cure based on knowledge is of six kinds:
The first medicine of knowledge 1 To think over the rewards of suppressing anger
The second kind of medicine based on knowledge 2 To fear the punishment of Allah
Fear Allah’s punishment
The third kind of medicine of anger based on knowledge 3 Fear of revenge from the person you are angry at
What if your enemy decides to take revenge on you???
The fourth kind of medicine based on knowledge 4 To think about the ugly face of an angry person
The fifth kind of medicine based on knowledge The devil’s insinuation: “You are weak if you do not get angry!”
“What Allah (swt) had willed has happened!" The sixth kind of medicine based on knowledge
You have been saved!
It is not easy BUT Be warned!
They should implement the three most important Islamic methods of Anger Management. What should they do???
(m1) saying the word of protection: a`ûdhû billâhi min ash-shaytân ir rajîm
(m2) changing bodily posture: when angry: sit down if standing and lie down if sitting.
(m3) washing the face, arms, hands etc: make ablution with water
Have the “Will” to actually succeed!

Wounds caused by the tongue include Speaking Harshly Backbiting Reproaching Slandering Taunting
It becomes easier to control one’s hand if one can control his tongue
“The right time, in the right place, for the right reasons, and with the right intensity”
