2 Definitions Mean: the average; add up the numbers in your list and divide by how many numbers you have Median: the middle value in an ordered list of values (from least to greatest); for even data sets, take the average of the two middle values Mode: the value that appears most often; you can have zero, one, or more than one mode Resistant to Outliers: the value will not be greatly changed if an outlier is added to or taken away from the data set

3 Mean on the Calculator 1.Enter data into a list 2.2 nd MODE to Quit lists 3.2 nd STAT then over to MATH; down to 3:mean( 4.Hit ENTER 5.Tell the calculator where the information is (ex. L1) 6.Close parenthesis; hit ENTER – For the median, follow the same steps except go down to 4:median(
