Key Vocabulary  Hypothesis: a testable statement that can be shown to be true or false through experimenting or observing  Experimental variable: the variable that receives some kind of treatment or condition (independent variable)  Control Group: receives no treatment, used to compare. It is important to have a control to compare and validate results

Graphing  X-axis: where the INDEPENDENT VARIABLE is plotted  Y-axis: where the DEPENDENT VARIABLE is plotted
