Equilateral triangle: A triangle with all three sides equal in measure. The slash marks indicate equal measure. Isosceles triangle: A triangle in which at least two sides have equal measure. The types of triangles classified by their sides are the following: Scalene triangle: A triangle with all three sides of different measures.

Right triangle: A triangle that has a right angle in its interior The types of triangles classified by their angles include the following: Obtuse triangle: A triangle having an angle (greater than 90° but less than 180°). Acute triangle: A triangle having all acute angles (less than 90°).

Equiangular triangle: A triangle having all angles of equal measure Each angle of an equiangular triangle has a measure of 60°

Station 1 Name: Fill in the missing word: Triangles can be classified either according to their ____________ or according to their ________________. The types of triangles classified by their sides are the following: Equilateral triangle: A triangle with all ________ _________ equal in measure. Isosceles triangle: A triangle in which ________ _______ have equal measure. Scalene triangle: A triangle with all three sides of ________ measures The types of triangles classified by their angles include the following: Right triangle: A triangle that has a ________ angle. Obtuse triangle: A triangle having an angle (greater than ______ but less than 180°). Acute triangle: A triangle having all angles (_______ than 90°). Equiangular triangle: A triangle having all angles of __________ measure.

From the given angles of measures of the triangles, identify the type of triangle. (Acute or obtuse or right) Q2. From the given sides of measures of the triangles, identify the type of triangle. (Equilateral, isosceles or scalene).

Station3 Name:_____________ Match up the words on the left hand side of the table to the write description on the right hand side. WordsDescription Acute angle A triangle having an angle (greater than 90° but less than 180°) in its interior. Obtuse angle A triangle having all angles (less than 90°) in its interior. Right angle A triangle having all angles of equal measure Equilateral triangle A triangle in which two sides have equal measure. Scalene triangle A triangle with all three sides equal in measure.
