9 6 th Form Independent Learning Academy’s drive to improve attainment & encourage independent learning Additional designated timetabled 5 th lesson for Independent Learning for each subject. This lesson for independent learning is distinct from the Independent Study Period / Private Study still on 6th form timetables.

10 Teachers will set 2 sections of work: 1. Homework which is collected in and marked accordingly 2. Weekly Independent Learning. tasks for the ‘5 th Period’ which is checked and verified by the teacher but not necessarily marked
