The Reserve has the UNESCO status of Biosphere Reserve, is also a Ramsar Site and is also part of other 70 international conventions. All activities within the danube Delta are regulated by DDBRA. DDBRA is also in charge with the environmental protection and ecological restoration, including the protection of the coast against erosion Romanian Waters National Administration – Dobrogea – Littoral Basin Administration Public - administration manager/prom oter Romanian Waters National Administration - Dobrogea - Littoral Basin Authority are the managers of the entire Romanian coast.
