What Does It Mean to Be Fully Human? Jesus Christ Course Document # TX001259
Being Fully Human Jesus Christ fully assumed human nature and lived an earthly life. Through his words and actions, he fulfilled the divine plan and shows us how to be human.
Being Fully Human Being fully human is to be aware of our identity as being made in God’s image. Because of this, all human beings have a fundamental dignity.
Being Fully Human Jesus sought out those whose dignity was not recognized by society: –The poor –The sick –The downtrodden –Women –Children
Being Fully Human Because of The Fall, our likeness to God has been distorted Jesus, as the perfect man, restores this image. This is our salvation.
Consistent Ethic of Life Jesus reveals that all people have inherent dignity. Catholics call this reverence for and protection of human life the consistent ethic of life. The Church speaks out against sexism, racism, abortion, human trafficking, and other oppressive practices.

Jesus and Social Consciousness Jesus came from a poor family, was born in a stable, experienced homelessness, had his life threatened, and fled to Egypt as a refugee.

Jesus and Social Consciousness Jesus experienced pressure from religious and social leaders. Jesus’ influence threatened Jewish and Roman rulers, which led to his death.
