1 Irregular Nouns List A noun, in English grammar, is a word that names a person, animal, place, thing, idea, or concept. There are more nouns in the English Language than any other kind of words. For more information and examples visit What is a Noun? It covers formation of plural nouns, common and proper nouns, concrete and abstract nouns, collective nouns, compound nouns, the functions of nouns in sentences and more.English grammarWhat is a Noun?

2 Irregular Plurals of Nouns - Spelling Test Most of English nouns are very predictable ( regular ) in the spelling of the plural form - they have plurals formed according to regular rules. However, there are several nouns, which are irregular in their spelling. These nouns are exceptions when it comes to making them plural. When irregular nouns become plural, their spelling changes in a different way or it may not change at all from singular form. This Irregular Nouns Spelling Practice lists 106 nouns in group of 10. Type both singular and plural forms for the given irregular noun. If you make a mistake on a tested noun - you will need to spell it correctly twice before exercise is completed.

3 Note that some nouns can form Plurals in two ways. (example: antenna - antennas, antennae) Make sure to type your answer exactly as it is given in test preview. You may use [Custom] option from Test dropdown to select only those nouns you have most trouble spelling.
