Developing Decision Support System Application for Hotel X Using Analytic Hierarchy Process Method Irma Wijaya
Abstract Hotel X still using manual and uncomputerized system for choosing supplier, because of that Hotel X needs application that can help decision maker for doing their job. This application using AHP method because of complex in criteria This AHP application is designed to be used flexibly. Flexibility in add, edit and delete criteria and sub-criteria in accordance with the present circumstances. This application was developed using SQL Server 2005 and Visual Basic 6.0 Based on questionnaire results, we concluded that this application could answer all the needs of Hotel X. This application can support decision making process at the Hotel X in selecting suppliers.
General Background Life needs decision making Every decisions are crucial Decision making was influenced by several factors
Business Background Company’s decision establish company performance and profit. Supplier has important role in business process
Benefit of Suitable Decisions Objectivity and Consistent Judgement Consist of data combined with expert experiences and organization needs Dependences and Feedback of tangible and intangible factors
Decision Making Processes Searching for conditions that call for decision Inventing, developing, and analyzing posible course of action Selecting a course of action from those available Implementing the selection action
Business Flow in Hotel X See at Page No. 25
Analytical Hierarchy Process Prof. Thomas L Saaty University of Pittsburgh
The procedure for using the AHP Model the problem as a hierarchy containing the decision goal, the alternatives for reaching it, and the criteria for evaluating the alternatives. Establish priorities among the elements of the hierarchy by making a series of judgments based on pairwise comparisons of the elements. For example, when comparing potential real-estate purchases, the investors might say they prefer location over price and price over timing. Synthesize these judgments to yield a set of overall priorities for the hierarchy. This would combine the investors' judgments about location, price and timing for properties A, B, C, and D into overall priorities for each property. Check the consistency of the judgments. Come to a final decision based on the results of this process
Hotel X Goal : To find suitable supplier based on their criteria and needs Criteria: –Quality –Cost –Delivery –Responsiveness

Design Menu of Aplication
Conclusions It meets user needs. This application has been able to produce proposals which suppliers should be selected by the purchasing team of the Hotel X Based on the results of questionnaires that have been collected, 80% of respondents consider this application is in conformity with the needs of Hotel X is good, and 60% of respondents considered that the application has a very good degree of accuracy.
Suggestions It could be extended for others purposes, like choosing employee, buying and selling. Adding dashboard.
