26 © 2013 Great on the Job26 MY PITCH: BANKING  Destination  Back Story  Connect the Dots  I'm a big picture thinker by nature and a numbers person by training. I think banking is a great combination of the two  I was actually a Peace Corps Volunteer in Chile and a policy analyst at the E.P.A., so this is a major departure for me  I loved my finance and strategy classes, I excelled in both and I think banking is a great intersection of the two

27 © 2013 Great on the Job27 MY PITCH: CONSULTING  Destination  Back Story  Connect the Dots  Management consulting provides an amazing opportunity to combine big picture thinking with tightly honed problem solving skills– I love the idea of working across business and industries to get a diversified set of experiences  As a policy analyst at the EPA and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Latin America, I had the opportunity to hone my problem solving skills in challenging and non-traditional environments  Given my unique background and perspective and my tendency toward analytical thinking, I think management consulting is a great opportunity to apply my skill set and experience

I worked closely with the automotive industry on energy savings, waste reduction and water efficiency initiatives  After spending time in the public sector pushing private sector reform, I’m ready to see the other side of the coin and push reforms from the inside out versus the other way around…
