Stress: Deforming force per unit area Strain: Unit deformation Tensile stress: associated with stretching Shearing stress Hydraulic stress Stress = Elasticity Modulus x Strain Elastic modulus: describes the elastic behavior (deformations) of objects as they respond to forces that act on them
