3 Invoicing Trends The Dutch government did not reach its target of 10% on electronic invoicing in 2010, according to figures from the economic affairs ministry. Of the 10.4 million invoices it received, just 6% were sent electronically. Councils in particular did badly, achieving e-billing of under 2%. Ministries did best, reaching 15.8%. The ministry wants e-billing to become the norm because it is quicker and cheaper. To encourage its use, it has made e-billing compulsory for all government organisations.
