2 2014 National Federation of Families 25 th Annual Conference November 22 nd 3:30-5:00 p.m. Speakers Bureau Subcommittee “TAAG” Members tell their personal stories to middle school and high school students to let them know how these “TAAG” members sought help and can now support other transition age youth and young adults “TAAG” You’re It! Lived It, Learned It, Survived It!!!

Lived It, Learned It, Survived It!!! 2011 - Conversation regarding transition age youth members needs 2012 - Began holding meeting to discuss “TAAG” * YAC = YUK 2012 - Planned 1 st Annual “TAAG” Picnic 2012 – First Official “TAAG” meeting held on October 6 Educational meetings Meeting etiquette Meeting agenda 6 Social events Dance, Picnic, Bowling, Swimming, MH Awareness Walk Moved meetings to The Giving Tree Drop In Center Voted in Chair / Co-Chairs 2013 – Subcommittee to plan “TAAG” Picnic “Under the Boardwalk 2014 – Started Speakers Bureau Subcommittee Currently “TAAG” Membership has received 72 applications with 20-30 active and involved members

12 WHAT IS A TRIGGER? A trigger is something that sets off a memory tape or flashback transporting the person back to the event of her/his original trauma. Triggers are very personal; different things trigger different people. HOW CAN A TRIGGER OR TRIGGERS EFFECT YOU? “TAAG” You’re It! Lived It, Learned It, Survived It!!!
