With 1,700 ports, it is heavily dependant on Maritime Transport for International as well as Domestic trade.

Government should recognise Indonesia’s unique Maritime Heritage and have a Tripartite Agreement with Ship Owners as well as Maritime Academies to upgrade Indonesian seafarers to meet demand of the National Flag vessels.
